After School PLUS

After School PLUS is an after school program for children in Kindergarten through 7th grades. Children are transported by bus to the JCC after school, where they are served a snack and they enjoy free play until 4:00 p.m. At this time, children separate by grade for homework time. Finishing up homework early allows your children to be less stressed and have more fun during their play and at-home time. A head teacher and an assistant teacher supervise each classroom. At 5:00 p.m., children engage in a range of activities including structured gym time, game room or outdoor play. Fridays are "theme days" and include special activities and events, and there is no designated homework time on Fridays. After School PLUS runs daily from the end of public school through 6:30 p.m. Care is provided for no extra charge on half-days and superintendent days. Kindergartners and first graders are separated into their own group with their own classroom, and they do not work on homework.

We are very proud that our day care program offers many unique benefits:

  • Flexible scheduling as needed
  • Groups that are divided by age - with a separate group just for Kindergarteners and first graders
  • No extra charge for half-days of school/superintendent days
  • Mini-Camps available during school breaks
  • The opportunity to meet children from other schools
  • Diverse activities including games, crafts, sports, outdoor play and homework help
  • Counselors in college and graduate school
  • Outstanding facility with an indoor gym, multiple classrooms and outdoor playgrounds
  • FREE transportation from local schools: Mt. Pleasant, Pleasantville, Briarcliff Manor, Armonk and Chappaqua (Grafflin and Bell) schools
  • Discounts on outstanding specialty classes

Our After School PLUS program is registered with the NY State Department of Education and licensed by the New York State Department of Children and Family Services.
