JCC Camp Bear Ridge for children ages two through five provides the outdoor activities and exploration that are the hallmark of summer, yet with air-conditioned classrooms, gym and dance studio for inclement weather and indoor activities. Each day we offer a variety of fun activities, such as nature, dance, sports and arts and crafts, plus time running through our sprinklers - and for children who are potty trained, our water slides. Each week features a different theme, and the daily activities follow that theme. Jewish customs and traditions are woven throughout the program. Field-trip adventures spice up camping for the four- and five-year old groups. Choose any four to eight weeks that are convenient for you and your child.

Camp Groups 

Cubs

This camp group for children ages 2.6 to 3+ years is specially designed for beginning campers who may or may not have previously attended pre-school. Campers benefit from highly individualized attention and a low campter-to-staff ratio. Children need not be toilet-trained. Available two, three and five days a week, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. OR 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Teddys

This camp group for children entering a three-year-old pre-school class in the Fall and who are toilet trained offers longer hours and more activity, yet the same nurturing care and individual attention that help them to thrive, improve their coordination and social skills and have a fantastic summer. Available five days a week, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. OR 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Pandas

This camp group for children entering a four-year-old pre-school class in the Fall offers even longer hours and more adventure. These children have developed longer attention spans so they can participate in more extended activities, and they are able to participate in more structured physical activities. Available five days a week, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. OR 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Koalas

Children entering Kindergarten are ready for even more adventure. This camp group will participate in all the fun activities they can handle at Camp Bear Ridge, plus take field trips to JCC Camp Discovery for swimming, a nature center, museum or other local attraction. It's a fantastic way to combine both the fun of summer camp and see the sites around our county. Available five days a week, 9:00 a.m.m to 3:00 p.m.
