First Saturday Night of Every Month
(Fall
dates are: Oct. 2, Nov. 6 and Dec. 4, 8:00 – 10:30 p.m.)
Step out of your normal routine. Through TeenLINK,
you can meet other teens in 8th - 12th grades in Northern Westchester, participate in fun activities and help
others in community service projects. This is not a lifelong commitment - just
an opportunity to do something different once a month.
Hang out in the JCC’s Game Room to play Wii, pool, fuzeball, watch movies and more.
$20/teen
Global Jewish Connections
Partnership with Shoham, Israel
Young Jewish teens (6th-8th grades) – join us as we partner with
teens your age from our sister city of Shoham, Israel! Explore your Jewish
heritage and identity, work on a social action project together, and learn about
Israel as well as your own community. All participants are expected to travel
to Israel in late August to stay in the homes of our new Israeli “friends.”
Space is limited and all applicants must apply and interview. Year-long
commitment required. Multi-year participation is expected.
- One Sunday a month (beginning October 3), 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
- Overnight at the JCC on Oct. 15
- Participation in week-long visit from Shoham kids in April
- Travel to Israel in late August
$180 participation fee covers participation in all required
activities except airfare to Israel (partial subsidy of airfare and all other
expenses covered by a grant from UJA-Federation of New York, the Rosenthal
JCC, and private donations. Personal interview required.
Sweet Charity Benefit
for the Laine Meyer Scholarship Fund
Wednesday, Nov. 24,
7:00 – 11:00 p.m.
High school juniors and seniors, join us desserts and
dancing at our third annual Sweet Charity party to benefit the Laine Meyer Camp
Scholarship Fund. Let’s see if we can beat last year’s goal, and give even more
children a chance to experience the fun and personal development that comes
from a summer camp experience.
