At today’s model Seder for the 4s classes of the Rosenthal JCC (RJCC) Early Childhood Center, the children were re-enacting the Exodus of the Hebrews from Egypt when in walked County Executive Rob Astorino, who played the role of “Moses.” The County Executive also met with the delegation of Israeli tweens from the RJCC’s sister city of Shoham, Israel.
The Rosenthal JCC is excited to welcome our friends from our sister city of Shoham in Israel! Tweens and teens from Shoham are visiting with tweens and teens from Northern Westchester this week as part of the Global Jewish Connections exchange program.
The new RJCC team will play in the Westchester Hebrew Softball League, and the competition is respectable. The games are modified fast-pitch, last a full 9 innings, with umpires calling balls and strikes.
