Available 3, 4, or 5 days a week until 5:30 or 6:30pm
Introducing Trailblazers at the RJCC, a wrap-around after-school program at the Rosenthal JCC Main Branch in Pleasantville for children who require a higher level of support than is available at a typical after school day care program - including communication with school systems and service providers to provide comprehensive support. Transportation is available from most local schools. Activities include “organized” free play, small group activities, outdoor play, social skills training, and weekly specialty classes such as cooking, music, Legos®, art, music and more. Opportunities for inclusion are available. Includes snack and homework help. This program is staffed by a certified special educator and an assistant, and is supervised by a certified social worker. 1:1 support is available as needed.
RISE ABOVE THEATER PROGRAM (Main Branch in Pleasantville)
For children in Kindergarten - 3rd grades
Children with learing differences will work alongside teen theater experts and an adult facilitator to learn the basics of musical theater in a safe, fun environment! Having fun together in Rise Above, we will also help improve gross motor skills and direction-following. Friends and families will enjoy an end-of-session presentation!
GYM BUDDIES (Main Branch in Pleasantville)
For children in Kindergarten - 4th grades
Sundays, Feb. 3, Mar. 3 and Apr. 7, 1:00 – 3:00 pm
This is your chance to play with the big kids. Children in Kindergarten through 4th grades play in the gym with tweens and teens who act as role models and engage the children through games and activities
RSVP is required. FREE for JCC members, $5/child for non-members
