The Mitzvah ProjectDoin' GoodThe Mitzvah Project at the Rosenthal JCC helps integrate acts of chesed - loving kindness - into children's lives on a regular basis. Being involved helps children develop a greater understanding of social justice, gives them a chance to make a real contribution to their community, and fosters the sense of accomplishment and fulfillment that comes from helping others.
Spring 2012 Schedule
Family Division (for children in K - 4th grades with their families)
- Sunday, Dec. 4 – Make gifts and deliver to children at The Edenwald Center at The Cottage Schools
Middle School Division (for children in 5th - 8th grades)
- Sunday, Jan. 22, 2:00 – 6:00 pm. – Pizza party with children at The Edenwald Center at the Cottage Schools
- Sunday, Mar. 11, 1:00 – 6:00 p.m. – Purim celebration with seniors at a nursing home
High School Division (for children in 9th - 12th grades)
- Sunday, Jan. 22, 2:00 – 6:00 pm. – Pizza party with children at The Edenwald Center at the Cottage Schools
- Sunday, Apr. 22, TBD – Join together with J-Serve for an environmental project at Eden Village in Putnam Valley on the national day of Jewish service
